A little known fact about me is that I was the Texas 4-H air pistol state champion in what I recall as about the 7th grade. Impressive, you say? Well, it's kind of a funny story in a way. My shooting abilities were fostered under a 4-H program that literally spit out Olympic hopefuls. We might have had as many as 2 or 3 shooters qualify for the Olympic Trials in a given year. It

We've all had our laughs at the Coach's and AP conference honor teams. Now, that the season has wrapped up, it's time to reflect on what actually transpired on the field of play. I'll start off with a few thoughts:
- The level of QB play was down across the board primarily as a result of the shittiest year for OL play that I can recall in this league.
- Another reason for the downward spiral of Johnny

Hope glistened in the eyes of Aggie fans after a 52-30 dismantling of the heavily favored Red Raiders. The worst thing that could have happened for Tech coming into this game was a 62-14 Aggie loss to K-State. It's not as if we've been out-recruiting Texas A&M over the last decade, we've simply been getting better players than what we had in the past and executing better schemes. The Aggies still get good talent littered

I woke up Sunday morning, shook off the hangover, and hit the road for home. As I turned off Loop 289 onto the Slaton Highway, I found myself asking, Did we really get our asses kicked by the Aggies? Did Jerrod Johnson really own us like he sucked down some Vince Young juice? With my mind still blurred by some post-game tailgate adventures, the mile markers ticked by, and memories of missed tackles and Von

The most interesting thing to me about Aggie football over the last decade is how many players choose Poultry Science as a major. Just think about Tate Pittman and Jamar Toombs prepping your chicken down at the Pilgrims Pride plant right now. How do all these guys who have probably never seen a chicken decide they want a career in the industry? I'm not sure who runs the Ag Sciences outfit down in College Station, but this guy should
Tom Dienhart of Rivals ranks the Big 12 coaches on SI.com. Hard to disagree with much on this list outside of Mike Gundy. I haven't quite figured out why everyone thinks he sucks. The Bill Young coup d' etat in the offseason should at least warrant a move past the Shermanator and the Hawk.

I've had a request for a Top 100 Recruit list, which I have neither the time nor desire to complete with any accuracy. I have no idea, if the 6th best WR in Texas should be valued more than the 3rd best OL, and frankly the concept makes little sense to me. I prefer the old school Dave Campbell's positional breakdown, and a more practical comparison against direct peers.
I can't tell shit about skill players,
Good find by our friends over at Oread Boom Kings.
I'm not positive, but it appears this guy might be reading off a script. Guy could use some new writers. I am eagerly anticipating papadoc's response to this.

After browsing through the Sports Illustrated Top 50 Big Board this morning, I've had a few thoughts about some guys I've seen play.
1. Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech - We're very familar with this guy and he's the surest thing to be an impact player that I've ever seen come through Lubbock. He's not as fast as Andre Johnson and will have more trouble separating. Crab doesn't have the ball skills or hands of
Deep fried pastry revenues exceeded 2007 results largely due to higher demand over the first 2 quarters. All other industries typically struggled across the board. The specialty monogrammed bathroom linen sector was wrecked by an over production of obsolete inventory. Conditions were accelerated by a Union worker's strike in the 4th quarter as the trend continued of wages lagging behind inflation since the Sherrill era. Leaders are pining Congress for a BCS bailout, but expectations are dim at best. Future Outlook:
